A F-1 tornado touched down in Cleveland County, NC Tuesday evening, causing damage around Kings Mountain. Law enforcement officials report damage in the Bethlehem Community, just south and west of Kings Mountain.

Hail and heavy winds caused damage to homes in the area, with one media report stating that people were shoveling hail from yards and driveways. Several homes in the area had windows blown out. I-85 southbound at the state line was closed because of trees on the interstate. Numerous trees were uprooted, with almost every home in the area showing some type of storm damage.
There were no reported injuries due to the storm.
