The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that reportedly killed a grandmother and sent three other people to the hospital. Troopers said a 17-year-old was behind the wheel of a Chrysler van when it failed to yield the right of way and hit a Dodge Durango in Anderson County. The wreck happened outside of Honea Path Sunday night on South Carolina Highway 20 when troopers said the teen was crossing at Earl Shirley Road. Troopers said a 72-year-old woman from Belton was killed. The coroner has not released her name to News Channel 7.
