It is a title that can change a young woman's life forever: becoming Miss South Carolina.
Contestants from across the state are in Spartanburg this week to have a chance to become just that.
About 80 contestants are beginning the final week to their dream. Next weekend a new Miss South Carolina.
The contestants spent Saturday morning registering and beginning their interviews. The week ahead will be filled to the brim interviews, competitions, rehearsals, and public appearances.
Miss South Carolina 2009 and Miss South Carolina Teen 2009 will be crowned Saturday night, July 4th, at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium
