The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) says a Belton man faces an additional charge in a church arson investigation.
Christopher P. Daniels is charged with Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent.
According to an arrest warrant, Daniels received funds valued at more than $5,000 belonging to Blue Ridge Baptist Church located at 1340 Blue Ridge Avenue, Belton, S.C. and unlawfully used the money for his personal use.
Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent is a felony offense punishable up to ten (10) years in prison and fines at the discretion of the court.
SLED has previously charged Daniels with Second Degree Arson.
According to an arrest warrant, he willfully and maliciously set fire to burn or cause to be burned, Blue Ridge Baptist Church.
Anderson County Detention Center says Daniels will have another bond hearing Friday morning on the new charges. He still remains at the Anderson County Detention Center.
