A bond hearing was held Friday morning for the pastor of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church in Belton.
In the breach of trust w/ fraudulent intent of more than 5,000 dollars charge, bond for pastor Chris Daniels has been set at 10,000 dollars surety. He could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted of this charge.
This is in addition to Monday's second degree arson charge, in which he was given a 25,000 dollar bond and faces 25 years in prison if convicted.
The Anderson County Fire Chief says Daniels is accused of setting fire to Blue Ridge Baptist Church in Belton on March 8, as well as taking more than 5,000 dollars from the church between Jan. 6 and March 8, 2009.
Daniels served as pastor of the church for less than a year.
