Public Safety says there have been reports of a man exposing himself to women and children in Converse Heights
Spartanburg Public Safety says there have been two reports of a man exposing himself in the city's Converse Heights neighborhood.
They say the first incident happened at 3:15 Thursday afternoon. A man reported that his 11 year old daughter and her friend told him a man exposed himself to them.
Public safety says they talked to several parents who stated there was a man driving a black truck exposing himself to children.
He then talked to the complainant who said the man exposed himself to his daughter and another girl as they were walking down Palmetto Street.
The girls say the man was acting like he was cleaning out his truck. He asked the girls if they knew where Spartanburg High school was, they said "no".
He then asked them where another school is, and when they said they weren't sure, he pulled down his shorts, exposing himself.
The girls say they screamed and ran away.
The second incident happened 5:40 Friday morning.
A woman told Public Safety that she and her friends were jogging on Norwood St. when they saw a tall, thin white man wearing a cap, a blue and white striped shirt, and NO pants. He yelled "Hey ya'll!" at them and when they looked, he was fondling himself.
Public Safety went all the way back in their reports to January to see if there have been any similar incidents in the area but these are the only two.
The suspect is described as a white man, 6'3", 180 lbs, sandy buzz-cut hair, wearing a blue and white striped polo shirt and beige cargo shorts. His truck is a black extended cab model with four doors.
