A man called 911 to turn himself in after he said he robbed a convenience store in Enoree late Wednesday night.
William Keith Gray, 41, called the 911 communications center and told a dispatcher he had just robbed the Lil' Cricket at 15831 Highway 221 according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff's office.
Deputies say they picked up Gary without incident at 800 Miller Road. Gary is being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center for one count of armed robbery.
The SCSO incident report says the robber waled into the store and pulled a five inch knife on the clerk and demanded money from the cash register at 11:40pm.
Gary called 911 about an hour later - according to the report - and said he wanted to turn himself into authorities.
Gary was standing outside the home on Miller Road with his hands in the air when deputies arrived.
