The judge in the case expects to announce his ruling on whether bond will be set for John Ludwig, Jr. on Friday.
New information has come out Friday morning at a bond hearing for John Ludwig, Junior on a charge of murder.
He is charged in the death of a Travelers Rest man, who died when Ludwig Junior's car crashed through his home.
13th Circuit Solicitor Bob Ariail is arguing against bond being granted for Ludwig, who has been held in the Greenville County Detention Center since his arrest last week.
Ariail says Ludwig is a flight risk because he had $10,000 in cash when he was arrested May 6 at his sister's home in Lincolnton, Georgia. The state is also asking for bond to be revoked for Ludwig, Jr. on a separate charge of burglary.
Ludwig was out of jail at the time of the accident in Travelers Rest on charges of first degree burglary and resisting arrest. The resisting arrest charge was later dismissed over an incident involving Ludwig, his estranged wife and another man.
Ludwig, Jr. was arrested for criminal domestic violence while out on bond.
The solicitor also presented new details about the deadly accident off Roe Ford Road. Ariail said Ludwig left a wedding reception at Green Valley Country Club and was driving toward U.S. 25.
Ludwig lost control of his car as he came around a curve, but Ariail says the investigation showed two-thirds of the vehicle was on the wrong side of the road according to tire marks.
Ariail says the Maserati traveled 135 feet on the road and 342 feet onto grass in a field before there was any sign of braking. The car went airborne over a nine foot embankment at 60-65 miles an hour before crashing into the home of 62-year-old Frederic Bardsley.
Bardsley was killed by blunt force trauma in the crash.
Ludwig spoke during the bond hearing saying he takes full responsibility and expressed his sorrows to the Barsdley family.
No members of the Bardsley family were in court today for the bond hearing, but an attorney for the family is present and is expected to talk to the court.
A News Channel 7 photographer says there were no signs of any protesters outside of the Greenville County Courthouse. There had been picketers prior to Ludwig Junior's arrest because of the pace of the investigation.
