Southbound Interstate 85 was blocked by an accident near the Spartanburg/Cherokee county line Monday morning at mile marker 83. The Highway Patrol reports minor injuries.
The crash involved a tractor-trailer and a truck hauling a boat according to Cpl. kathy Hiles of the SCHP. Traffic was stopped in the right-hand lane of the interstate.
The accident was reported around 10:22 a.m. Air 7 and S.C. Department of Transportation cameras showed traffic down to one lane and moving slowly through the accident scene.
The backup extended back north into Cherokee County.
