Raymond Robinson remains hospitalized Tuesday morning and is scheduled for surgery for a stab wound to his eye. He is under law enforcement guard at the hospital.

Deputies say the search has ended for Raymond Robinson, a suspect in a fight that killed his friend. Deputies say he has been located hiding near his family’s home. He was taken into custody without incident and is being transported for medical treatment.

The Newberry County Sheriff's Office is trying to find a man they say killed his friend during a fight.
Raymond Robinson, 51, of Newberry has a warrant for murder issued in the incident Sunday afternoon on Olive Road.
Sheriff Lee Foster says a 911 call about 6:00 p.m. reported a man was lying in the road. Deputies say they found they found two knives with the victim, who had been stabbed just under the breastbone.
The sheriff says James Jimmy Wise Sr., 51, was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m. at Palmetto Richland Hospital.
Investigators say the altercation happened at the home of a mutual friend on Olive Road. Law enforcement officers say that alcohol played a significant factor in the altercation.
Both men have significant prior criminal records.
Robinson is believed to have been injured in the altercation, but the NCSO doesn't know the extent of his injuries.
