A candlelight vigil will be held Saturday for a Easley man who was accidentally shot one year ago today.
Nineteen year old William Ficklin was shot and killed November 4, 2008, after he and his 17-year old friend, Jonathan Medlin, had returned home from a day of hunting and a shotgun discharged. The shotgun, which had been laid down on a coffee table inside the house, had jammed frequently and it went off and struck Ficklin in his chest, killing him instantly.
Ficklin's father, Everette, says a candlelight vigil marking Ficklin's memory will be held Saturday night at 7 pm at Crossroads Baptist Church in Dacusville.
