Deputies say she was attacked just feet from her own front door. Now the victim says she believes she was beaten for money.
According to the victim, 48-year-old Deborah, she was unloading her car just before eight Wednesday night, when a man hit her from behind knocking her to the ground. He beat her head and body and choked her with a wire. She is severely bruised and says the guy stole $70 cash and her purse.
The victim says she has seizures and went into one during the attack. She doesn't want her face shown or last name used out of fear, but says the man ran away just as quickly as he was on her.
"I was holding the purse up under me and when he started to raise up to start hitting me in the ribs, I was dragging myself across the yard and he caught me and sit on me, and that's when he put the wire around my throat," Deborah said.
