Dante Norton was sentenced by Judge Miller to 19 years on the Burg.1st and Kidnapping, 10 yrs on the AWIK and 5 years on the Grand Larceny - all to run concurrent.

Lavadre Butler was sentenced to 18 yrs on Kidnapping, 18 years on Burglary, 10yrs on Assault With Intent to Kill and 5 yrs on Grand Larceny. All sentences are to be served concurrently.

The trial is scheduled to begin Monday morning for one of several men charged with attacking a woman during a home invasion. Authorities said Jamar Powers, Dante Norton, and Lavadre Butler broke into a woman's home on Vinewood Court in Simpsonville in December 2007.
Investigators told News Channel 7, they tied the victim up with electrical wire. Powers is set to be in court Monday. He is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill, grand larceny, kidnapping, and burglary.
Norton and Butler are awaiting their trials.
