According to Clemson University, a Seneca man was charged Thursday with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old while working for a contract cleaning company on the Clemson University campus this summer.
University police charged Timothy Joe Chastie, 49, with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, Police said he assaulted the victim on two occasions in the basement of Redfern Health Center.
Chastie, who is not a university employee, is being held in the Oconee County Detention Center on a $30,000 surety bond.
