A Spartanburg County woman has been charged with kidnapping after deputies say she pointed a loaded gun at a man and woman while intoxicated.
Diane H. Foster, 59, is also charged with pointing and presenting a firearm plus criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature in the incident early Saturday morning in Lyman.
Spartanburg County Sheriff's deputies say Foster admitted to drinking in Greer and drove to the home of her former boyfriend in a dispute over a dog. The victim says Foster arrived at his home on Ben Hurt Road Extension and began beating on the doors and windows.
The victim says Foster argued with his girlfriend and then went into a bedroom where she took a Smith and Wesson .357 pistol from the nightside table. The incident report says Foster pointed the gun and threatened to kill the two people in the home before killing herself.
The victim says he was held in the room with his girlfriend by Foster - at gunpoint - for approximately 30 minutes.
The victim says he persuaded Foster to put the pistol down and the man says he unloaded the weapon.
Deputies found Foster in the kitchen of the home holding a dog. Foster is not listed as being held in the Spartanburg County Detention Center website.
