Some Charter Customers Overcharged on Sales Tax

Some Charter Cable customers got a surprise in their recent cable bills, a 33% increase on their sales tax. State Representative Steve Parker of Spartanburg County tells News Channel 7 that he was contacted by a Charter customer, complaining about the overcharge. Parker called the company, and the company fixed the error. Charter tells News Channel 7 that an "keystroke" error cause the overcharge, and customers will receive a credit on their next bill to make up the difference.
