Train Collides With Car Leaving 4 Dead

A train collides with a car, leaving four people dead in Jasper County.
It happened on U.S. 17 and Main Street in Hardeeville.
The interim city manager of Hardeeville said the vehicle was trying to go around the arms of a crossing gate that was down, and did not make it.
He said the vehcile was dragged nearly a mile down the track.
Amtrack said the crash happened just before 9 o'clock Monday night and there were 15 passengers on board the 89 Palmetto, going Southbound.
