The York County Sheriff's Office and the York County Coroner's Office have identified the body found Sunday in Kings Mountain State Park.
The remains of Randi Dean Saldana, 30, of Gastonia were found Sunday - shortly after noon - on Apple Road.
Investigators identified the victim as Saldana based on fingerprints.
An autopsy was conducted Tuesday at the Medical University of South Carolina. The cause of death has not been released, but authorities are considering the death to be a homicide.
