***UPDATE***
It was all hands on deck Friday in Greenville County as a giant piece of a Duke Energy generator continued its way through the Upstate.
The "stator" as it's called, is in the midst of a three month, 300 mile journey to its new home in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.
Nearly a hundred workers from the power company, movers, and law enforcement have been working together to make the trip a safe one.
All along Friday’s path, stator watchers lined the road to take pictures. They say they just wanted to see what nearly 400 tons looked like going down the road.
“Let's say it's the biggest thing to hit 25. I've never come out here on Highway 25 to look at anything before, but this is it and I enjoyed it,” says stator watcher Bill Palmer.
After stopping for the night, the stator will move again on Sunday. It will start about 6 p.m. and will travel through Greenville starting along S.C. 25 and arrive on the south side of Highway 124. On Monday, it will travel to the junction of Highway 25 and Highway 11.
