On Monday morning the search continued to find a suspect in an abduction that sparked an AMBER Alert in North Carolina. Authorities said the two-month old baby was taken from a home in Conover on Sunday. Police chased a suspect around 1:45 a.m. Monday through Davie and Forsyth Counties before he ditched the truck he was driving and ran off.
Officers found two-month-old Catalin Hoard in the abandoned truck and took her to a hospital to be checked before she will be returned to her mother.
Conover Police said 37-year-old Saturino Ortega Vidal lives at the same home as the baby and took the child. Police said Vidal was last seen wearing a Duke University sweat shirt and black wind pants.
The search is happening in Forsyth and Davie counties Monday. They did not give a motive for the abduction.
