The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office has charged a woman after they said she tried to hit her boyfriend with her car outside a bar early Saturday morning.
Shawna Kay Parks Jones is charged with criminal domestic violence high and aggravated nature plus assault high and aggravated nature after the incident outside Libby's Bar at 629 Gossett Road.
Deputies say Jones drove a red Ford Escort in the parking lot and tried to hit her boyfriend and another man who were standing next to his GMC Sierra pickup truck at about 12:30a.m. Saturday.
Investigators say both men got out of the way and the Escort ran into the pickup truck, which caused damage to the doors on one side of the vehicle. Deputies say the Escort had damage to the front bumper and hood.
No one was injured in the incident.
Jones was charged with criminal domestic violence high and aggravated nature due to the relationship to her boyfriend. The assault high and aggravated nature charge was because of the other man who was standing next to the truck.
Jones was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
