According to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, around noon on Monday, Jeffrey Daniel Wise was approached by a man at the Watson Village Shopping Center, asking for a ride. Wise agreed, and once inside the vehicle, the man directed Wise to a location near the intersection of Hall and Carpenter Streets. That's when officials say he told Wise he had a gun and began to rifle through Wise’s pockets.
Wise, who possesses a Concealed Weapons Permit, was armed with a handgun and pointed it at the male. The two began to fight over the gun and it discharged during the scuffle. The male then got out of the vehicle and fled.
Anderson County Sheriff's Office says Christopher Trent Glover was identified, and arrested the next day on an unrelated charge . An arrest warrant was then obtained for the armed robbery. A portion of Glover’s finger was shot off during the struggle over the gun.
Glover is in the Anderson County Detention Center awaiting a Bond Hearing.
