A mother and son were injured Thursday morning after an accident on northbound I-85 in Anderson County. The SUV was traveling on 85 from Gwinnett County when, Georgia, according to witnesses, the SUV swerved, lost control, and began rolling over, eventually landing in the woods just off the interstate. The son was able to crawl out of the vehicle, but his mother had to be cut from the SUV. It took rescuers an hour to get her out of the automobile.
One lane of I-85 was closed while the accident was cleared.
