A short chase late Friday night in Rutherford County has left deputies searching for a man who rammed his truck into his home.

The incident occurred just before 11 pm off of Highway 221, near Forest City. According to the North Carolina State Patrol, a Rutherford County detective noticed a pickup truck without a license tag and without working taillights pull out of a drive off of Highway 221. The detective then proceeded to initiate a traffic stop and the driver of the truck fled the scene.

A short chase ended when the suspect, identified as 29-year old Joshua Caleb Wilson, turned off of Highway 221 and onto Kelly Road and then onto Pancake Place. Rutherford County Sheriff's officials tell news Channel 7 that Wilson plowed his truck into his home, while his wife and child were on the front porch.

Wilson is facing several charges, including reckless driving, fleeing to elude arrest, driving without proper tags, no rear lights and resisting arrest.

Wilson is described as a white male, approximately 6-feet-tall, 150-170 pounds, with brownish-blonde hair, blue eyes and rough facial hair.
