Spartanburg County Sheriff's deputies are looking for two men they say were involved in a drive-by shooting Wednesday night at a apartment complex.
The shooting occurred just before 8:30 p.m. at Whispering Pines apartments on Abner Road in Spartanburg County. Spartanburg County Sheriff's spokesman Tony Ivey said when deputies arrived on scene they found a gold Toyota had struck another car in the parking lot as a result of the shooting.
Deputies interviewed the female driver of the vehicle who stated that two men were passengers in the vehicle she was driving and the two men saw another man in the apartment complex and started shooting at him. Ivey says that the unidentified woman told deputies that she was so startled by the gunfire that she crashed the car into a parked vehicle in the back of the complex.
Both male passengers and the shooting victim ended up fleeing the scene prior to deputies arriving on scene. Deputies and a K-9 unit searched the area for the victim and suspects and later found the victim, who told officers he did not want to pursue charges against the suspects. The suspects have yet to be located and nobody was injured.
