Cherokee County may become the new home of a company relocating from New York.
An agenda for Cherokee County's upcoming County Council meeting Monday night noted that there will be a discussion about an economic development event involving Jetline LLC. The company, which is based in Mt. Vernon, New York, is expected to move into a new 75,000-square foot facility on Hyatt Road in an industrial facility.
Jetline is one of the fastest growing suppliers of promotional products in the industry. The recently announced that it was closing its New York facility to move into a new facility on the East Coast.
Governor Sanford spokesman, Ben Fox, could only comment that the Governor will be in Gaffney next Tuesday at 10:30 for an economic development announcement. He could not say whether that announcement involved Jetline.
However, several sources have told News Channel 7 that the company is expected to attend Tuesday's announcement and will likely announce possible hiring opportunities/
