MARIETTA, Ga. - Cobb County pollice say they will continue patroling areas flood-ravaged areas after criminals continued to loot homes left vacant after heavy storms.
The announcement comes after police made several arrests for looting in one week.
Tuesday, police charged two men with theft and criminal trespass after an Austell homeowner came home to find them loading his refrigerator and dishwasher onto a truck. Wednesday, police arrested another man after they caught him loading a refrigerator onto a pickup truck outside a vacant home in Austell.
And on Sept. 24, Cobb police arrested a 16-year-old male and charged him with burglary after he was found in a Marietta home.
