CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A North Carolina man charged in the abduction of his two daughters - including a 12-year-old who is eight months pregnant - now faces rape and incest charges.
The Charlotte Observer reported Sunday that the 40-year-old man is charged in Lincoln County with indecent liberties with a child, first-degree rape and felony incest between near relatives. The Associated Press does not identify alleged victims of sexual assault and is not naming the man to avoid identifying his daughter.
He is already charged with child neglect and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The girls' mother reported them missing last month when the 12-year-old failed to show for a doctor's appointment. The Tennessee Highway Patrol said troopers arrested the man last week.
