The Anderson County Sheriff's Office has made an arrested after a man was shot and wounded Tuesday afternoon on Lance Road.
Brandon Corey Williams, 24, of Anderson is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
A 21-year old Anderson man was sitting in his vehicle around 3:30 pm Tuesday at 414 Lance Road when he was shot twice in the leg and thigh.
He was transported to AnMed Health for treatment. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators identified Williams as the suspect and obtained arrest warrants early Wednesday morning.
Williams turned himself in to investigators and is currently being held at the Anderson County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
The reason for the shooting is unknown at this time according to the ACSO. No other arrests are expected.
