SC Governor's Office: 1,000 New Jobs for Lancaster County

Red Venture LLC will move their operations to South Carolina according to Governor Sanford's Office. The announcement touts 1,000 "new, high-paying jobs" for Lancaster County.

Red Venture LLC will expand their operations and move to Lancaster County where the South Carolina Governor's Office says will result in 1,000 new, high-paying jobs.

Governor Mark Sanford's Office made the announcement Wednesday of a $27 million investment by the internet technology company.

Red Ventures will locate its headquarters just north of the intersection of U.S. Highway 521 and S.C. Highway 160 in the 521 Corporate Park.

Lancaster County had an 18.2% jobless rate in August according to the South Carolina Employment Security Commision. that is the seventh highest rate among the state's 46 counties.

Red Venture LLC expects to add 100 new positions by the end of the year. Individuals interested in career opportunities with Red Ventures are encouraged to visit the company’s Web site.

The South Carolina ReadySC workforce training program is in the process of working with the company to design and implement customized job training programs for the company and identifying skilled workers for future positions that will become available.

“This announcement represents yet another dividend from our state’s continued efforts to improve business soil conditions and attract capital investment to South Carolina,” Governor Sanford said in a written release.

The announcement was made with the Department of Commerce and the Lancaster County community.
