CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Police in South Carolina have charged two people with forgery in the case of a Charleston woman missing about four months.
Multiple media outlets reported Thursday that 29-year-old Ethan Mack and 30-year-old Heather Kamp have also been charged with obstruction of justice.
Twenty-eight-year-old Kate Waring has been missing since June.
Authorities say Mack and Kamp forged Waring's name on a check in the amount of $4,500 on a bank account owned by Waring and one of her relatives. Investigators have discovered that Mack and Kamp were associates of Waring.
The Charleston Police Department is investigating.
