Cherokee County Inmate Escapes From Irmo Work Detail

The South Carolina Department is trying to find Nikita Brannon, 31, who has served 15 months at the Goodman Correctional Institution in Richland County.

Brannon was sentenced to nearly eight years for selling crack near a school in Cherokee County. DOC says she was due to be released in January.

Brannon walked away from her job at a KFC in Lexington County around 2:30pm.

She is described as 5'2", weighs 150 pounds and has a scar on the inside of her left arm and a burn scar on her left arm.

If you see Nikita Brannon or have any information that can help find her, call 911.

Brannon was a minimum security prisoner at Goodman Correctional Institution .
