People lined up the streets in downtown Greenville Thursday afternoon to honor Navy Week Celebration.
One of 21 cities chosen to commemorate the honor throughout the United States, Greenville kicked off Navy Week with a proclamation by Greenville Mayor Knox White. Accompanied by representatives from the Greenville Police and Fire Departments who are members of the United States Navy, White proclaimed the event Navy Week and presented the proclamation to Rear Admiral John Goodwin.
Navy Week will run thru Sunday.
