News Channel 7 spoke to Brian Long, the cab driver who says he was the victim in this case. He said he picked Mance's photo out of a line-up, and he had given him rides in his cab many times before. Long said he has no idea what caused Mance to attack, but said if he had not been able to defend himself, he would have likely been killed.
Long said Mance attacked him from behind, while Mance was in the backseat of the taxi. They struggled for at least 10 minutes, according to Long. He said his hand was cut during the fight, and Mance even bit his ear.
