AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Some students attending Augusta high school football games may soon have to hike up their pants.
Richmond County school officials are considering banning saggy pants at high school football games and other extracurricular school activities.
A school board committee Tuesday gave an attorney the go-ahead to draft a policy that could impose a dress code at school functions.
The county already bans saggy pants that show a student's underwear during classes and leave it to principals to decide whether students must tuck in their shirts. But the proposed policy would address people attending school events such as football games and athletic competitions.
