A Spartanburg woman is counting her blessings and warning others after she says someone did a drive-by purse snatching on her.
Spartanburg Public Safety investigators say two men in a grey or blue Honda Accord pulled up next to the victim and reached out and grabbed her purse.
The incident happened Tuesday in the parking lot of the Home Depot at Dorman Center.
Linda Byrne says she thought her purse strap caught on a side mirror of a car. "It never occurred to me that this was a robbery until I started to fall forward and the car was going faster." Byrne said. She says she let go of the purse and the car sped off.
Byrne says she has the last laugh, because her wallet was in the opposite hand as the one holding the purse. "Oh I'm sure they weren't very happy. I guarantee they thought to themselves we went through all this for a checkbook and heart medicine? Serves them right," she said.
Surveillance video caught the car on tape. Investigators are still searching the suspects. If you have any information call 59-CRIME.
