COLUMBIA, SC (October 15, 2009) –

Check your Powerball® tickets from last night’s drawing! Two tickets sold in South Carolina correctly matched all five white ball numbers to win $200,000 each. The winning numbers were 5, 15, 25, 30 and 40. The Powerball® was 6 and the PowerPlay® number drawn was 2.

The tickets were sold at Twin Pine Convenience Store in Lancaster and Smith’s Drug Store #1 in Spartanburg.

Winning ticket holders have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their Powerball® prizes.

Since the Lottery’s inception in 2002, the General Assembly has appropriated more than $2.2 billion for educational purposes through fiscal year 2010. Approximately 97 cents of every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery is returned to the state in the form of contributions to education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
