The Greenville solicitor's office reports Donna Redding pleaded guilty to shooting and killing her common-law husband Gary Dean Parnell at their home in Marietta last April.
At an earlier proceeding, an investigator testified that Redding quoted scripture following the shooting and said, "Jesus told me to do it." The investigator also testified that Redding told him that her husband "was the devil."
Authorities say Redding and Parnell argued about who would roll a joint and whether they would listen to country or rock music before the shooting.
