Judy Stiles with the Laurens County Sheriff's office says Richard Allen Jr. was arrested Sunday and charged with Assault and Battery With Intent To Kill in the stabbing incident from Saturday night. The sheriff's office is investigating.
**Sunday morning**
The Laurens County Sheriff's Office says a fight around 10 pm. Saturday night led to a man being stabbed in the chest. A spokesperson for the sheriff's office says two men got into an argument in a car and at some point it escalated and the man was stabbed.
The man who was stabbed went for help at the Crossroads gas station at Highway 101 and Green Pond Farm Road. He was later flown to the hospital.
No names are being released. Deputies are investigating and say they have a person of interest in the case.
