A teenager is dead after a wreck last week in Greenville County.
Lance Cpl. Jeff Gaskins of the South Carolina Highway Patrol says that the 17-year old died Monday after a wreck that happened last Wednesday morning. The victim, whose identification has not been released pending family notification, was traveling on the exit ramp at Interstate 85 and Mauldin Road at 8:15 Wednesday morning when Gaskins said that the teenager lost control of a 1998 Nissan and wasstruck on the driver's side of the vehicle by an 18-wheeler.
The teenager was transported by ambulance to Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was wearing a seatbelt and charged with driving too fast for conditions.
