Gray Court Teen Dies in Fountain Inn Crash

The Laurens County Coroner said a crash killed a teenager from Gray Court on Tuesday night at 9:30 p.m. Nick Nichols told News Channel 7, 17-year-old Veronica Inez Herold was driving a Ford Escort on North Old Laurens Road in Fountain Inn, when she left the roadway and over corrected, causing the vehicle to flip. Herold was partially ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The coroner said she was not wearing a seatbelt. Two other juveniles were in the vehicle. They were not hurt and wearing seat belts. The Highway Patrol is investiating the crash.
