A Union County woman was arrested after a raid located illegal gambling machines at a local bar.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year old Melissa Gail Lee, of Union, and charged her with keeping unlawful gambling tables and possession of a type-3 narcotic.
According to an incident report, Sheriff’s Office officers served a gambling search warrant at the Pit Stop bar, located at 1226 S. Duncan By-pass, Wednesday night. As a result of the search, deputies seized two illegal gambling machines that contained an illegal balloon game and documents from a possible race game. Lee was taken into custody and charged after undercover deputies allegedly infiltrated the bar, played one of the games and received a cash winning.
The incident report states that during a search of the bar, officers found a blue pill, determined to be hydrocodone, and Lee said she did not have a prescription for the narcotic.
Lee has been released on bond from the Union County Detention Center.
