Those Needing Christmas Help Need To Move Fast

»  Comments | Post a Comment

With the economy in the state that it is in, the demand for Christmas help is expected to be even greater this year than last. But you might not have much time left to ask for help.

The Spartanburg County chapter of the Salvation Army is taking applications now for parents needing help in getting new toys and clothes for their kids for Christmas.

Officials with the Salvation Army say last year they saw an increase in requests for help and expect even more this year. They are calling on all of those that can donate to donate this year.

Those living in Spartanburg County only have until Friday, October 30th at noon to sign up for Christmas assistance.

Those living in Greenville and Union counties still have two weeks before they have to sign up. They will be accepting their applications the first week of November.

You will need your ID, social security card, children's birth certificates, proof of income, and bill receipts.
