A Spartanburg man has been arrested and charged with neglecting vulnerable adult, according to our coverage partners at the Spartanburg Herald-Journal.

Spartanburg Public Safety arrested 24-year old Justin Jermain Jeter, of Spartanburg, and charged him with four counts of neglect of a vulnerable adult.

According to the report, a Spartanburg Public Safety officer found a 31-year old mentally handicapped man at a gas station on John B. White Sr. Boulevard on Friday. The report states that the man led the officer to a home on South Lanford Road, which contained an office and housed four mentally handicapped adults, including the lost man.

A short time later, Jeter arrived at the home and allegedly identified himself as the Charles Lea Center evening caregiver for the home. Investigators say they consulted with the supervisors for the Charles Lea Center and determined that Jeter had been barred from the property.

According to the Herald-Journal, a black bag containing lotions, sex toys and women's underwear was recovered from the office he used.

Jeter has been released from the Spartanburg County Detention Center on $20,000 bond
