The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is investigating two separate armed robberies from the weekend.
The first incident occurred Saturday around 8:30 p.m. at the Spinx station at 901 Marue Drive.
Deputies say an African-American man in his mid to late 30's, 5'8" and weighing 220 pounds entered the store holding a screwdriver in his hand. He threatened the employee's life unless she didn't back away from the register. He pushed the woman, grabbed cash from the register and left in a burgundy colored Ford Expedition.
Investigators say the robber was wearing black shorts with yellow stripes, a black coat and black rag on his head during the crime.
Deputies are also investigating a robbery at a Handi Mart, located at 3209 Geer Highway in Marietta.
An employee says a white man walked into the business around 9:00 p.m. Sunday. He was believed to be 20-30 years old, 5'9" and 165 pounds. he was wearing a dark blue or black "hoodie" according to the Sheriff's Office.
The robber pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the register. he grabbed the money and got away in a car that was only described as a "small, possibly blue vehicle."
No injuries were reported in either robbery.
