According to a report from the Greenwood Police Department a woman called in with a complaint of child neglect on Foundry Road.
The woman said she went to her nephew's home to check on his son. She says her nephew is Tremain Cunningham.
The woman says the one year-old boy just had surgery on his adenoids for breathing problems.
The woman also says she checks on the boy because the parents sometimes leave the boy in the house unattended.
She says she went to Cunningham's home and the baby was alone in his crib crying.
She says when waited 10 to 15 minutes for the Cunningham, but no one came home.
The woman took the child because she was worried for his well being.
She says she had been with the boy all afternoon, but neither Cunningham or the mother, Veronica Abrams called to find out about the child so at 5 pm she called the police.
Both parents were arrested and charged with neglect toward a child.
