Police have arrested a man after a stabbing in Veteran's Park in Greer, Wednesday night.
According to the incident report, an officer responded to 16th Street (Veteran’s Park) for a fight in progress. Once on scene, the officer noticed that Johnson had a knife in his possession and the victim, Brian Blackwell, of Greer, had suffered multiple stab wounds to the side of his body and arm.
The officer said another man had Blackwell pinned down. That officer managed to subdue the suspect and place him under arrest.
The victim was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Greer Police arrested 30-year old David Johnson, of Greer, and have charged him with assault and battery with intent to kill.
