Spartanburg County Sheriff's deputies are trying to find the gunman who shot several times into a vehicle early Tuesday morning.
The driver was not injured.
Deputies say they got the call at 3:20am at the intersection of Brice Road and Old Georgia Road near Roebuck where the vehicle was found in a ditch.
Officers say the rear window was shattered and bullet holes were found on the left side of the Jeep Cherokee and the rear of the passenger seat.
The victim says a vehicle followed him from East Blackstock Road until he slowed down on Brice Road to allow that driver to pass.
As the vehicle passed, the man said he heard a pop and the rear window shattered. He says he heard two more shots before he swerved off the road and struck a tree.
The victim says the car that was following him was a 1980s Chevrolet that was dark in color according to the incident report. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at (864) 58-CRIME.
