While News Channel 7 engineers were busy working on the station's new tower, other staff members of WSPA/WYCW worked hard today on something far more down-to-earth.
We pitched in at the "New Day Clubhouse" in Spartanburg.
The weather was perfect for a very busy community work day.
Volunteers pressure-washed a shed and sidewalks, mulched, trimmed shrubs and painted, all for a good cause.
We also enjoyed getting to know the club members and staff at "New Day."
"New Day" is a psychiatric rehabilitation facility serving Spartanburg County. Board Chairman Tom Lounds says the club members learn daily living skills such as shopping, taking daily medications and interacting with other people.
"New Day" has approximately 450 members and 8 staff.
