BI-LO is offering customers discounts on gas with grocery purchases in the Upstate and western North Carolina.

Customers who buy groceries using a new BI-LO Bonuscard will receive a five cent gallon reward for each $50 they spend at the store.

Those consumers will be required to go to a BI-LO store and have their old card scanned. BI-LO says all existing data will be retained with the new card.

The program starts September 9. Customers are able to redeem their fuelperks! rewards by using their Bonuscard at any of the participating Shell-branded or Spinx gas stations in the Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson and Asheville areas.

The company says the $50 threshold can be achieved through multiple visits to BI-LO and it is all tracked automatically.

There is no limit to the amount of fuelperks! rewards a customer can earn according to BI-LO.
